View Full Version : Are Head Rackets Really Measured from the Outside

I have been told that the size of the Head heads are measured from the outside of the frame. This would make their OS 107 equivalent to a 98.
Is this fact or fiction.

I don't know how exactly they are measured, but Head 98 is visibly smaller then Wilson 98.

try posting in the TW section for questions for a translation, it is interesting.

Looks like 93 to 90, 98 to 95, 107 to 100ishmaybe 102 (but I doubt the 107 is as small as 98)

Yes this is true. It is said that it gives 3-4" extra head size. My FXP Prestige 98" is smaller than the prince O3 hybrid tour 95, smaller than the 6.1 95" etc etc. I believe that their 93" head sizes measure somewhere in the 89.5" range.

Probably because Head are European so they measure in metric, they will round out the frame to the nearest metric size, not inches.

I've raised this question here and in Q&A to TW but received no confirmation from anybody so far.
