Lead tape on Flexpoints

I was wondering if putting lead tape above or any where on flex point raquets can distort how the flex point works or harm the racquet? I've got a Fxp Radical Team and wanted to add some weight but didn't know if it might screw up the racquet.:confused:

I doubt that it would since lead tapes bend along with the racquet's flex.

put the lead where you would put it on any other racquet...

if you really want to though, cut the lead tape in half and put half above the fxp and half below.

Ok just making sure, because I didn't know if lead tape could make the flexpoint racquets flex too much. Thx.

They don't really flex that much, lol.

I have a flexpoint and i have applied lead tape on the racquet and never had any problems with it.

The purpose of FP is to supposedly change the flex properties of the frame. On the other hand, changing the frame's mass does not affect its flex, although it might feel like it does. Add lead tape as you normally would.

Ok thx. Now I've added about 1.5 ounces to the frame and it plays great!

Same as everyone said, but i would advise you dont cover the holes. It would be applied uneven anyways if you did because of the crater around it.

I've seen it done before. It was right over the "flexpint" on the 3 & 9 positions. It was in the TENNIS magazine with Blake on the cover, from earlier this year.

You all are taking the holes too seriously; they aren't black holes that will swallow lead tape. There's no harm done in laying lead tape over holes, LM ridges, etc.
