I started playing again for the first time in 7 years. I use to play in college. I was wondering if someone can recommend a racquet for me. In the 80's I played with a rossignol F200 and in the '90's with a rossignal 5.60. I like the feel of rossignols. Very flexable, soft, good spin, balance, and their perfect blend of power and control. Any suggestions on current frames. I recently tried Volkel's but I did not like the grip (blusters), lack of spin on groundies and serves.
Thanks

Zimbo, you're another old time graphite lover, I suppose? I too like the F200.
I'm settled with the Redondo Mid.

Yeah, I'm a old time graphite lover. Can't seem to find a racquet that I love as much as my beloved rossignol F200 carbon. I had 5 of them but all 5 cracked at the exact same spot. Because I have been out of the game for so long I feel that racquet technology has past me by. I recently played and notice these players with horrible strokes and form are blasting the ball back at me. There was no way this would have happen back in the days of the older racquets.

Get a Redondo MP and start-string it at mid-to-high 50's with a nice multi, as you're being "blasted". Note that the MP, though said to be 98, is actually a 95 sq.in. racket face. You can adjust to your preferred tension later on.
I play the Redondo mid size and it gives the feel of the late 80's-early 90's sticks. If you've experienced the PK BlackAce back then, the Redondo is the modern version of the BlackAce. Hope this will give you an idea of what the Redondo'll be like.
For more info on the Redondo, you can browse and search the board about this "on hype" stick. Well, it lives to its hype as many have found.

The Redondo (short for ProKennex Heritage Type C Redondo ;)) comes in two head sizes, the Mid (93) and the Mid Plus (98 ). The Mid Plus of any racket is usually called MP (to keep it short).
So, the Redondo MP is the same as the Redondo Mid Plus which also the same as Redondo 98.
