View Full Version : One piece/Two piece

Hi, I'm a realitively new racquet stringer and I have a question about the one piece vs. two piece stringing. When you finish your mains at the throat (i.e. your last main pull is in the direction of the throat) does that ALWAYS mean you will have a two piece job? I recently acquired a couple of Redondo Mids and they were strung one piece, which means that the crosses were started at the throat instead of at the head. I've heard that starting at the throat with a traditional-styled frame doesn't hurt anything but I wanted to know what the laws of stringing say. For what it's worth, TW says that it should be a two-piece job on the Redondo profile.
