I have an nPro 98 and am going to string it with SPPP and Klip Syn Gut on the crosses. I rather have control as i can generate my own power.

But I usually do my hybrids at the same tension but was thinking of mixing it up. Any suggestions??

Im not sure if o have the mains tighter or the crosses.

If it were my racquet I'd string it at 56-58 range, since it's a 98. It may feel a bit boardy for a few hours, so I'd use it for practice the first few hits.

You can try stringing the crosses at 1-2 lbs higher than the mains to stiffen the stringbed a bit more. No effect on comfort.

I've been putting in the SPPP in the mains at one tension and PrSynGut at 5# more in the crosses.

Hi Steve,

How is the feel of this setup? Does the 5lb increase in the X affect the comfort of the stringbed much?

I always string the crosses at least 2lbs higher than the mains.

Ijust strung the poly on the mains at 58 and cyn gut on the crosses at 59. Works nicely although you really do have to produce your own power
