hey all,
I'm looking for something thats as tacky as the supergrap, but soft. I find the supergrap rips the skin on my hands when its freshly put on. once its a bit dirty it doesnt peel my skin but its not tacky.
so im looking for something soft AND tacky. any suggestions would be great
thanks

Hey,
I would suggest Babolat syntac, I also like tacky grips so thats the grip I will be mainly using this year.

I had the same problem with supergrap.
I tried Head Xtremesoft and its perfect.
Good amount of tack and very soft.

Prince Micro Tac is soft, that's why I like it, to me tackiness is 2nd in importance. And everyone who has every used my racquet (I teach beginning and intermediate tennis classes as well as coach) says "ooh, I like your grip"

I'm not sure what others think, but I got these 3 packs of Head Xtreme Soft overgrips, and they are very nice. They feel very good IMO.

Just get the Wilson Pro ones. You get what you pay. The Wilson is not as tacky at first, but its softer and grips your hand better. Definitely better in the long run.

That's exactly what i said. The Head Xtremesoft is actually an excellent overgrip.
In my opinion, better than tournagrip and better than supergrap and pro overgrip in the summer.
The grips are very underrated.

Yeah, I've used it for 6 sets so far, still feels soft and as tacky as before.

Try Babolat VS Original. It's softer than Yonex, not quite as tacky but seems to absorb well. I switched to this from Supergrap about 6 months ago and so far I'm pretty pleased with it. It does get pretty dirty looking after a couple of uses, though - I thought the Yonex stayed "new"-looking longer, but it's really not much of an issue for me.

Duzza and Fishbulb:
Is there still as much tackiness with Xtreme soft grip? and how's durability compared to the supergrap?
thanks guys

It is tacky, but not as tacky as supergrap, i'd say about 60% of the tack that supergrap has, but 200% the softness of supergrap. It grips very well and it doesn't cause blisters at all.
After 10 sets of playing with Xtreme soft, the tackiness was lowered by about 10%, in my opinion, it is much more durable than supergrap.

i'm a Super Grap guy... but have used, and as back up in my bag i have Gamma Supreme... definitely tacky-er, and is more cushiony-er than the Yonex... the Gamma feels a little "gushy" to me. The Gamma is tricky to wrap, it dimples or pleats easy.

You wouldn't be dissapointed.
Oh, and by the way, make sure you stretch it while you wrap, it is thicker than supergrap.
