Yeah, blaming it on the racket isn't necessarily the best thing. The thing is you'll blame it on your racket and believe that when you get a new racket it will make a massive difference, to be honest unless you have a really crap racket it will only make a small difference.

I need to work and i'm hopefully gonna have made £155 by the christmas holidays. then i'm most probabley going to get it as my perents will get me a racket(hopefully once they get persuaded) and i get another one coz i have $210 in my wallet so might aswell use them and the rest of the equipment will cost me around £120 - £130.so i will have some money spare and i'll get me the tracksuit later. i might work in the christmas holidays aswell so i'll make some good money. i get £15 a day for it and i work on saturdays.

Yeah. Went on holiday to Egypt in August. The brochure said bi weekly tournaments (every other week). But there wasnt one, so i just played my dad. The courts were clay and amazing, even though it was 40°c!

Our Lady of Muswell is my sister's club, and I hit with her there in the summer. A couple of the courts have a really short run-off, and a few times when I was moving back to return a deep ball I hit the fence with my racquet on the backswing. To make the best use of this you should a) force your opponent back with deep balls and heavy topspin as they won't have room to work in and b) try to take the ball as early as possible from the baseline yourself.

Playing like a 6.2 is nowhere near good enough to get sponsored. I'm a 6.2, no chance of full sponsorship with any decent companies.

I used a Babolat Vibrakill and it took away most of the tingy sound. It is actually quite stiff, the strings don't move around at all but that's also to do with the AG 200 string pattern.

Update with dunlop, I got an email from them asking me to send them a form. I replied saying I've already done that but it's good signs good signs :)

Lol tofi, you're not far away from me at all. The thing is, this was a lesson I learnt. Learn that rackets make a difference, but whenever you believe there is a problem with your game, whatever it may be, you will always play badly and then make excuses about it...It's just natural. Believe in your game and work through the bad periods, and eventually it will start to click.

My favourite shot is currently forehand down the line although I also like two handed backhand down the line. I have a good one hander as well, in fact its better than my two hander but I feel that the two hander has more stability so I'm trying to work on it.

Wins me my matches most of the time. I'm a bit cruel, if a player has a weak backhand and I know he doubts it, I'll batter it because I know that unless he is real strong mentally he'll get more and more annoyed with it.

PLayers of all standards react differently to different racquets or set-ups. Certainly you being rated a 6.2 doesn't give you the moral high ground on any issue. If a higher rating did I'm sure you'd find lots of people telling you how it is.

Racket was prince o3 hybrid tour, string was gosen micro, shirt was the ATP distressed Tee and cap was the RF wimbledon edition. Yeh it's still a pretty nice price for all that but annoying! I got the customs bill like 3 months after i received the order so thought i had gotten away with it!

You start off at 10.2, and as you play tournaments it will go up(but the number will go down). the better you do in tournys the higher it will go basically.

4.2 here (not a junior though, I'm a veteran!). I was wondering whether any of you do dedicated footwork drills to help your tennis.

They do offer something if you have a 6.1 rating, but i dont think you should drop out of school. is it even legal?
