Anyone use oversize rackets on these boards other than me? if so why do you use one? i use one because generating power with a <98 head is too tiring for me, even though i love the control. but a powerful racket is easier for me to use cuz i dont have to supply my own power, and i can control it well. I use a Head Flexpoint 4.

Any other OS racket users here? what's your racket?

You need to define "oversize," I think. 102 or greater? 110 or greater? If 98 is your high end, that doesn't leave much room for mid plus (95-98?).

good point

i'd say 102+, because 100 is still MP, but OS is IMO 102+ (though most people say its 107 or something +). For the purpose of this thread, 102 and over :)

I don't use an OS racquet by this definition, but I gradually moved up in head size from 93 to 95 to 98 to 100 over the past 15 years. I'm glad I started with a 93, because I really had to learn to get a feel for where the ball is on the racquet face. For me, moving up in size has been more about lighter weight (down fron 12.7 to 11.8 and, soon, slightly lighter than that) and greater room for error. I finally sold my Prestige Tour Mid, because I realized that I really am not up for the heft of it anymore. I wouldn't rule out going to an OS in five or ten years, but for now I plan to get used to my strokes with a 100 before moving up again.

I use a POG OS, yet it has less pop than my FXP Prestige MP...But it can hit a heavier ball if I swing hard.

I woud say the POG is more demanding than many racquets actually, including n6.1 95, FXP Prestige, even Yonex RDX500.

Right now I'm using a 100" (Volkl BB 10) but I have used lots of OS rackets in the past, specifically the POG OS, Dunlop 300G OS, Yonex Ultimum 1500 and the Volkl Quantum V1 OS. Currently, I'm taking a hard look at the Fisher M speed 105 and the Gamma Ipex 7.0 OS.

POG OS right here. OS fits my game style a.k.a. pound every ball.

I use an oversize (Prince tungston hornet 110) because I get a consistent hit even though I'm somewhat inconsistent in my ability to hit the sweetspot. With a smaller racket I seem to drill the ball when I hit the sweetspot but I clunk it when I just miss it. My hornet allways replies something in between.

same with me. i love hitting with my PS Tour 90 or PK Redondo MP, but in a match, especially when i get tired, i cant hit the sweetspot all the time, and using the racket becomes pointless
