How does the mid play compared to the MP? (FXP or Liquidmetal)

You thought the Flexp Prestige MP lacked spin and pace on serve..... Huh? The strength of this racket is its serves.

Maybe its my grip or swing but most other rackets i can hit heavy spin, with the MP it was not the case. This was a couple months ago and my serve has gotten better though.

I think you need to work on your serves...
The FXP Prestige MP has as much pace on the serve as a PD, but has awesome control on spins...

My question: Does the MID play different than the MP

Well the MP plays bigger than the Mid. Probably because of the headsize.

The Mid should only be used if you are 4.5 and above. The Racquet although listed at 93 is actually 90 due to the way HEAD measures their racquets. I am currently using the MP version after demoing near every MP and a few Mids on the market. The MP is more forgiving than the mid, but is still very controlled.

any mid prestige is a lot more demanding imo than the mp counterpart. the smaller headsize and the denser string pattern just make the racket a harder stick to play with...

I currently play with the liquidmetal prestige mid. I have been demoing the flexpoint midplus and I can't decide whether or not to make a switch. Is there anyone else whose tried both and could give an opinion about them. My game is power, not finesse. If there is another option I'd love to hear about it.

mid plays stiffer than mp due to the different string bed. Mid & MP both plays with a lot of control. You'll spray your shots a bit more in the beginning with the MP simply because of the larger head size. However, you can take a big cut with both (should take a smaller cut with the MP), and still get plenty of control. Get stiffer strings. cheers

OK i just hit the FXP prestige mid, and it was....

AWESOME! All around, just a kick *** racket. I had 2 aces on a 4.5 player (im 4.0), a huge flat and a slider. It is great for serving. The MP was horrible for me serving, this cuts through the air so much easier. You can really crank shots with it, very fun to be at the baseline with, but also terrific at the net.

Is there enough spin with the mid? The MP has a fairly dense pattern already...

Yea I think there is enough spin. Its not for nadal but I found a good balance. The pace you can get is unmatched though.
