He's pretty short for a 12 yr old in the video though.

Very nice strokes for a 12yr old. Very smooth. Anyone know what tournament he was playing at? It seems like they had a pretty big crowd for a junior event.

I could still physically beat his ass when he was 12.
And what the hell is that music?

hah, this just shows what kind of early talent you need to show in order to just become a good pro.

Gasquet is by no means overrated when the terminology used is "best backhand ever". If you've not sat down to watch this guy give a backhand lesson on the court, then you've never experienced a backhand.
I agree that this is one of the smoothest 1hbh on the entire tour

So I hear you guys saying that you could beat Richard when he was 12? And you are basing that off of a brief video??? Riiiiiigggghhhttt.

He looks solid. You can see that he had the basic guts to his game by the time he was 12.
Nice find. good to see a young man with a one handed backhand

Nothing like owning yourself :D. Gasquet was playing main draw ATP matches (and won some) at age 15.

Yeah, some people here think thats his backhand with full effort... Thats him taking relaxed warm up strokes and already it is great. Looks are deceiving.
