I think it is just when I serve and extend my arm completely and make contact. Could do better in health and fitness but it's really bugging me..

o noes... its such a comfortable racquet >< ive never had this problem... and mines leaded up and im using kevlar... maybe change strings?

ATM I'm swaying toward technique. It's fine all the time it's only when I come through the ball on serves.

I hit with the 200g and sometimes on serves I feel discomfort in the elbow, I am pretty sure its technique for me.

I think I overextendend my arm at the elbow/shoulder and that causes alittle pain.

It has to be technique. There's no way a racquet like the RDX 500 should give you pains in your elbow. You probably need some minor adjustment. Then everything should be fine.

Same here man, but Ive been using the pog lately. It only happens when I serve.

Switching racquets can lead to some temporary pain no matter what the racquets are.

sure it could give you pains...it's a midsized frame and therefor easier to miss hit. miss hits with any frame <including flexible ones> can cause elbow problems.

I had pain 1st time I used the RDX500 90 also(before I leaded her up). I think it's because the racquet is so light and flexible that your arm takes it when you swing too big. It's not the usual type of damage(vibrations going to arm) but something much more 'low frequency'.

are you hitting the sweetspot consistently enough where it's not jarring?

also, how tight are you gripping your racket on serves?

SW is probably too low. When I first got my Prestige the low SW made me swing out way too much, causing my elbow to hurt. After adding a leather and lead to increase SW to my liking my elbow didn't hurt.

Of course you are going to have elbow problems. You need to take some of the lead off your racquet, or put some more lead under the grip to even out the balance a little more.

It needed a bit of lead at 3 and 9, only weighed 1000grams :(....

If you add about an ounce at the bottom of the handle, then even the frame shots don't hurt.

Could be:

- Tension too high
- Techniqute ain't right
- Mis-hitting (likely related to above)

In stock form, no lead required, the mid, in stock form, is one of the easiest sticks on the arm I've ever hit with. But, any racquet can hurt if mis-strung and/or mis-used.

Check your tension, and have someone experienced look at your motion.

Yeah always. I hold it pretty tight for serves and volleys and smashes.

These weren't mishits. They were my normal serves and went in. A minority of them aces too. Just still hurt.

One is strung with Syn Gut ast 58, other with SPPP at 56. I used the Syn Gut today. I had a lesson 3 days ago and he said my technique was fine and reminded him of Arthurs and saying how easy it looked for me to serve. :confused:

Maybe your elbow just needs a little rest. How much have you been playing per week?

Just FYI, I have the same pain in my elbow when I serve too much. Of course, my arm is terribly out of shape from not playing for years. But still, when I extend my arm fully, I feel some pain in the area where the tendon meets the elbow, if you know where I mean. It's the one that you can feel right at the point where the elbow "knob" starts going into the triceps area.

Anyways, the pain goes away by the next day for me. Rest is all it takes.

Also, it doesn't matter if I use a heavy racquet or a light one. It's pretty much the same.

It is possible it is causing elbow problems. Yonex RQ-11 and RDS 001 does cause some sharp pain if you string with Poly..
