View Full Version : PK Composite Destiny = Babolat PD

Came across a Pro Kennex Composite Destiny 110 in the thrift store today. I tried to avoid it but it followed me home anyway.

Lo and behold upon closer examination it definitely looks like the Babolat PD. It has been stated here many times that Babolat bought the Destiny molds when they went into the the racquet business. Holding this Composite Destiny in my hand confirms it for me. The shape of the throat, bridge and head are almost identical.

BTW, the Destiny is one sweet hitting frame. It weighs 12.5 oz and is 10 pts HL. Puts some serious mass behind the ball. The "plow through" factor is very high and the comfort level is too.

Nice find, I'm guessing the PK composite is a very very hard to find frame now. I might have to start spending more time in thrift stores.

The Pro Kennex Graphite Destiny was the stiffest of the line. It is closest to the RDC number of the Babolat. I used the Ceramic Destiny which was the best frame they produced for my game of all time. Of course they ruined it with the improvement of AVC, insert after two years on the market.
