Anyone else have this problem? I've had multiple pros tell me that I'm making contact waaay too far in front and also hitting from the top of the racquet. No surprise - I've had shoulder issues. I'm also well into the court after making contact but also off balance. I don't have the power I should have either.

For those who have had this problem and were able to fix it, what worked best for you?

Unfortunate that the multiple pros who see your problem and tell you what it is aren't helping you fix it. Anyway, check your ball toss. It would appear to be too far forward into the court and/or too high too. If so, toss it closer to the baseline and/or with lower height too.

I'm getting instruction on how to fix it, along with a few practice drills to stop the habit, but man this is one frustrating problem. I'm looking for anything!

i find it hard to believe that your toss is too high. i would bet that you hitting the ball at the top of the frame is instead because you rush your swing a bit. if you are hitting too far in front of you, you just have to not toss it out so far. you cant hit too far in front if the ball isnt there

On some days, I have a problem like this too. I tend to toss the ball too much forward and it usually results in frame hits or powerless puff serves.

The correction to the problem is... tossing the ball bit closer to the body! Since I usually have rather low toss, I tend to bend my tossing arm a little bit. That way the toss can't go so far in the front if the toss was going straight up.
