my fellow junior friends tell me that if i want to stick to my one-hander, i'm going to have to consciously train my left-side a little bit more than my right-hand side to keep my body balanced, since i will no longer be using my left-side.

does anyone have any tips on ways to do this?

(iono the validity of this statement, but the older ppl at the club always tell us two stories - the guy who stayed at the baseline and the guy who didn't care about fitness (the old guys are always trying to be funny) and i guess the concept of net and fitness always comes up...)

thanks in advanced

Except for the weight of the racket possibly making some small difference, your left and rights sides of your body basically move in unison during a groundstroke.

Hold a racket in each hand and practice your groundstrokes in front of a mirror. Notice the rackets follow each other in parallel.

Of course you should be working out with light weights, for conditioning. As you do that, you will be contitioning both halves of your body.

As for the other stuff, just try to hit the ball with your best footwork and mechanics.

Good luck,
