View Full Version : How to search non-league players on Tennislink?

I've been using the Tennislink League search on USTA.com to look up player records. This search though, does not show players who play USTA NTRP tournaments, but don't play USTA League Tennis.
The not-so-great way, to look up a player is through the state NTRP/age ranking lists. This however, is tedious, since you do not know which years he/she participated to get a ranking.

Is there a better way/link to use the USTA Tennislink such that given a name, you can look up his/her records despite no USTA League play?

Thanks in advance!

This site is actually pretty good to do some prematch scouting:

I was speaking to someone from the USTA last year and they said that there are limited detailed information about people becasue of privacy issues, has anyone else heardf this?

Player names and tournament/league records should not cause privacy issues. Also, without them, USTA will not be able to efficiently/timely manage the leagues. That is why it is available.

...but it has been this way (the current) for as long as there has been Tennislink.

so I don't understand that there is a concern in USTA with the current (already limited) implementation?

Good question. I haven't figured out how to do it except in a very round about way but it works. They obviously don't want you looking up the records directlly for some reason. But if they don't want you to see the tourney records why make them available online at all?
