I've heard numerous times that this is not the grip to go but it's just the natural grip that I've grown used to since I've started playing... is it not recommended for certain strokes?

Is it hard to name that grip because it sounds like you guys are a little unsure what to call that grip.

First time I even heard this name.

How many different grip names are there haha

Looks like a standard eastern forehand. Not advisable for the serve, or backhand. Volleys are widely debated.

Look interesting. I never use this grip in my game... Looks like an incorrect eastern grip or too many overgrips...

I was wondering this for a long time myself, and that is if I was using a grip that is too big.
It's 4 3/8 with a tournagrip on top.

Its an eastern, and unless your hand is really small, thats fine.

Why do people say this grip is only good for forehands?

oh and I'd like to ask how many grips you guys generally use in your game?

Thanks for all the feedback!

I use semi-western for forehand, eastern for backhand(different eastern) and continental for everything else, so 3.

Can you lift say 5 lbs of weight using the string bed of your racket without feeling you might loose grip?
