I have been having light knee problems for the past week. Yesterday it seemed to have gone away but I was playing tennis indoors and think I reaggravated something. I think I just twisted it but I have tryouts for HS September 7-10. What should I do?

Probably just a sprain. Give it some time off to heal. You can try icing it 10 minutes on, 60 minutes off, though icing is more for muscles, not ligaments or tendons.

If it is still bothering you when the try outs start, wear a lightweight knee sleeve for some support. That will ease your mind so you can focus on tennis.

lendl lives... you may just have over worked it but that sounds like the same spot mine hurt and i tore my meniscus and acl. It's probally nothing to worry about but if it is persistant then i would see a doctor but for now ice and elevation. good luck to both of you.

One of my g/f had the same problem with the knees, accident while playing volleyball. Had to go through surgery, know the replacement ligament has been detected to be at a wrong angle, thus leading to instability, etc, thus another surgery is planned:-[[

It's something much more frequent with the ladies, because they have weaker muscles, in general.

Suggest a lot of strength exercises, check my posting:
