I'm tired of spending 80-100 on shoes...
so from the bargain bin... which of these have you liked
or would you choose?

I tried to add as many under $50 shoes as possible..
didnt include the Prince Quicktrac or Wilson Scramjet hope
those aren't big favorites...

Reebok PMD's are solid shoes although a tad on the heavy side

wilson cross fire II is great it's a little over 50$ a 59$ but you should give ir a try , it's better than your choices IMO and only a few bucks more expensive

MDP's! extremely comfy and stable, but a bit bulky and could use more ventilation. it is weighty, but you get used to it after a while.

I'm probably going to buy multiple pairs of Nike Resolve Plus shoes.... I know a place that discounts multiple pairs of shoes.
I'll call TW to see if they will match that deal.

I have tried RBK MDP and Lotto Revenge both are great in traction, comfort, durability (rock solid for both), true to size and perfect in most of the category except they are not light weight as my Yonex SHT 303 but not too heavy either when you are on court..

Definitley the New Balance CT 780's, im sure the Reeboks are good too, but if your looking for something lighter, than this is a fantastic option. I have them and so far they have been great.

I say this to every person looking for shoes around the 50$ range. If you think about it, the barricade IV (or any other >100 shoe w/ a guarentee) is just 50$ a pair if you get the replacement.

Considering the quality of the more expensive shoes, and the guarentee on them, the steep investment more than pays off.

I agree. I'm a Wilson user for life. Best-feeling shoes on the court, IMO.

(As long as they maintain their current foot comfort/design style)

I found the New Balance 802 for $39.90 (the 803s will be out in the spring, so they're closing out the 802s). Very happy with the shoe.

MDP's have the 6 month warrany also - so it ends up being $25 a pair using your math. I just sent in my second pair of MDPs for a replacement and I got a pair of Match Points as a replacements (I think they are around $100). So I am a pleased Reebok customer :)

Best shoes under $50. I got CROCS for $30. Wear them all the time with or without socks. Got a pair of KEEN's for $50. They are even better.

Oh, you meant tennis shoes?
Sorry. Good luck with that.

I remember when Diadora Rebound Aces were on sale. That did not last long. That's the trouble with closeout pricing. Gotta get four or five pairs, wear them out, then switch brands again.

No thanks. Not for me.

I just a bought a couple pair of Fila Torneo. I like Fila because they don't give me the dreaded purple toenails.

I have never worn a shoe that fits better, provides more support and overall comfort than the Reebok Premier Pro. I have three pairs and rue the day that they wear out since according to the Folks at TW they are going to be discontinued. I would love to know what Reebok has in the way of a shoe with the same support and comfort. I have tried other Reeboks and were not as satisified...

I've been wearing reebok MDP for about 2 months.
Typical Reebok, comfy and stable. Its weight did not bother me.

It's a great value since you get formerly top-of-the line shoes for $50...
and warranty replacement in 6 months....

matchday pumps would be best shoe under 90$... i mean, just because its cheap doesnt mean it doesnt compare to the barricades. I wore both and I have to say, besides the slight overweight issue and its bulky feel, the comfort, cushion, support of matchday tops barricades or any shoe for that matter.

The Fila Torneo are th best on that list. The Reebok MDPs are too flat soled and too heavy. The Filas are a much better comfort wise, and more durable. They are a bit narrow though so you might have to size up. The only negative to them is that they are tough to get tight! At the end of the day I can slip them right off my feet. I cant do that with my Wilsons or Nikes!

I'm not a huge fan of the Torneo's lacing system either. I'd say the Pumps are a better practice shoe, but the Filas are much lighter and more breathable.

When MDP came out initially, wasn't it like ~$100 ?

Another vote for the Fila Torneo's. Light yet comfortable.

I voted on New Balance 780. I'll admit to having not used them before, but I have used New Balance 652. They were pretty comfortable aside from the fact that the soles wore out quickly (in about a month with 2+ hours of practice daily).

yes they were originally around 100$ a pair. just because the price went down, doesnt mean the quality went down.

from my experience with the pumps, barricades 4, nike air resolve, pumps are the most cushioned, comfortable shoe. heavy and bulky is the only complaint. but your feet will never hurt in these.

NB 780 fit well, soles last a long time, and have a warranty.

The Lotto's aren't too bad, picked up a pair about two months ago. They do fit pretty snug though and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone with wide feet. I personally like the more snug fit as I hate the feeling of my feet sliding around.

Reebok premiere pros and upset dmx are both great shoes under $50. Never tried the MDPs.

Have Reebok Match Day Pump been discontinued or do they still
manufacture and sell them at $49 ?

I have one and its 6 month gaurantee will expire in June.
I wonder if they will be around at that time....

I'm not sure how many Nike Factory stores still have them, but i just bought two pair of the all white w/ obsidian swoosh zoom vapor speeds in a size 13 for 39.99 each! Just call up Nike and give them the style number, which is 310372 by the way, and have them do a factory store search in your size.

It'd be really great if anyone could make a direct comparison between the NB CT 780 and the MDP? Especially the traction. My friend needs a pair for the summer. Thanks in advance.
