I would say that I'm a strong 3.0; I've never really gotten an official rating except from my captain (who plays tournaments) in high school who says that I'm around 3.5, maybe better. I still think I'm a 3.0 because of serves and footing.

I think I'm 3.5-4.0. Self-Rated.

-- My groundstrokes (both sides) have a lot of spin in them and I can direct them easily. My serves are great, first serve (usually a wee bit slice/flat, sometimes pure slice) has lots of power and good placement, but my second serves (topspin) don't have the same placement as my first serves (I don't know how....). I can hit my volleys well (and angle them) if my opponent is at my level (I have trouble if my opponent hits very very weak shots or flat bombs). Lobs are OK but need more consistency during moments when I'm pressured.

However I am probably a weak-avg 3.5 in singles.

In doubles I'm probably a strong 3.0 to weak 3.5, really depending on the day.

Today was my first tennis lesson ever and my instructor said based off what he saw today I was a solid two and would be able to hold my own with 2.5's. He said I probably wouldn't win though because I am too impatient as it is. He said my shots are really powerful and he can tell I can control it some but that they would wear me out until I got frustrated enough to power hit my way to losing the game. I know it isn't great, but it is a start!!!
