Guga, Cañas, Gaudio (although I'm not quite sure why he's in such a slump lately), Feña and JMDP are my favourites.

David Nalbandian of course!

Nalbandian, although I'm not always sure why. He's become frustrating to watch lately:

+his results haven't been great

+he always looks out of shape (I know it doesn't mean he is out of shape)

+he seems to give up or blow it in big matches (last year's US Open vs Safin, French Open vs Fed (yeah I know he got hurt))

+his first serve needs more pop

Despite all of the above, I'm still mesmerized by his ground strokes. So consistent and heavy off of both wings. His technique is simple and fluid. I look at him as a model for my FH and 2HBH.

Rios and Guga tied for first.
After that I'm not sure although at the US Open qualies I would always put a little more effort into watching Ricardo Mello. Never seen Coria play in person, but would probably rate him highly if I did. I liked watching Del Potro play. Very stylish game and doesn't look like the typical South American clay court style of ball.

I wonder if there is anyone who actually doesn't like Gonzalez!?

He seems to be a real favourite with all the players, an idol in Chile and I don't think I have seen a tennis fan who doesn't appreciate him.

Cannot go without mentioning Guillermo Vilas, Gabriela Sabatini and the legendary Maria Bueno from Brazil. I always liked Jose Luis Clerc, too. Nicolas Periera had a flashy game, too. Rios' game was special.

Today, I like Chucho Acasuso and Fernando Gonzalez. Saw Calleri beat Agassi once. He's good at dubs, too. Can't say enough about Gaudio's BH.

Favorite southern neighbor of all time: Guga Kuerten.

each for different reasons. some for the guts, some for the style, some for the "i dont give a ****" attitude.

My bad! Chela, Calleri, Del Potro, Nalbandian, Canas (I think) are the Argentines. Massa and Gonzo are Chilean, and Saretta and Guga are from Brazil. I was typing too fast. I actually know most everybody's nationality.

Andres you forgot one in my opinion deserves to be in your list;

Jose Luis "Batata" Clerc, the best of all times in Argentina.

Just in case you don't know him because you're too young:

Hahahah, he was certainly on my list. Elegant player. Very nice game. Good blend of attacking and defending. Lots of smooth play..but a lot of sweating, too. Fairly big serve, IMHO.

Gotta support Chile: Gonzo and Massu (Rios and Fillol and Gildimeister back in the day).

Then:

Guga -for his personality
Nalbandian -foe his court awairness
Acasuso -for his style
Canas -for his fitness, I mean drugs. :p
