HS tryouts are starting this coming Monday, and of course I am going to be on the courts, practicing my backhand and volleys before then. I am wondering if there are any secrets or special tips any of you would like to share on and off courts. Thanks :)

Warm up. Loosen up. Relax. Watch the ball!!!! Have fun.
If you are not ready by then. It's too late to worry about it, anyway.
Good luck. Let us know how things go.

I just finished my HS tryouts and made the JV team. It was tough, we had about 40+ people tryout for 18 spots.
Here is something I learned:
Go for your shots - if you tense up and dont go for your shots, you will make unforced errors, lose, and hate yourself. If you go for your shots, you will play better, trust me. It's much better making errors going all out than making errors playing tense.

i like to be a bit sweaty and all when its starts from the very get go.
its like going full speed at spring practice at baseball or basketball.
this helps to show the coach that you are ready to go i
good start is important if you are a rookie or know mentally that you have to fight for a starting spot.
but don't exhaust yourself with a mile run. just enough to get the heart beat pumping.
don't forget to stretch out!
nothing like pulling a muslce or twisting an ankle in the 1st day.
