They look like they compensate for some underlying physical abnormality :-D

Not only were they ugly, but the outsoles were worthless. We could blow through a pair in a week on Florida hardcourts.

The only tennis shoes that Reebok have ever made that were worth a darn were the mid-nineties Hardcourts.

IMHO, Craig Sheppard and Nuke win with the most heinous Reebok and the Nike Air Tech Challenges that everyone wanted back in 1987.

BTW, I think those red diadoras are awesome. They look like indoor soccer boots with the sole of a tennis shoe.

The thing with some of these choices above is that the shoe itself isn't ugly, its the colorway that makes it look bad... like the Reebok Court Victory Pump or the Adidas Feathers, when done in a proper colorway, they look decent... that atrocious Puma with the green holes in the heels, however, will look like @$$ no matter what color it is...

Yeah, "Nike Dunk SB Low Piet Mondrian" Mondrian was an artist, and this color scheme is supposed to be representative of his work. The "SB" designation means it's primarily a skateboard shoe, and Nike has lots of weird color schemes for this model. Here's another:

My own opinion of the Barricade V Shanghai is pretty negative. I'm old school and usually go for predominantly white tennis shoes, so any shoe that's this nontraditional-looking is a hard sell for me. But you youngsters probably think differently.

Saw these in person. I wear B5 myself but I have to say this colorway doesn't do anything for me. They should have gone the gold from the gold bounce running shoe released in the summer. That gold has a nice patina. This one is kind of too dull. They should have gone all out on a gold/white, gold/gold, or gold/silver colorway. At least that would be more of a collector's piece for sneakerheads. :)
