im having trouble with having confident with myself... u know wen u play a match it is completely different from practice.... and wen it comes to a real match, u know u can beat that other person! but ur all tense up and nervous and all because there is a lot of pressure and a lot at stakes...

i need some advice on building my confident and to loosen myself during games.... any advice, personal stories or anything to help me or excerises?

Everyone's been there, amigo. Playing more matches will make you more comfortable in that setting, since it will become familiar to you.

I've learned a lot from several books by different gurus including some sports psychologists and I recommend it all the time. Brad Gilbert and Vic Braden are my two suggestions, but if you snoop around at a store or a library, you'll probably turn up some interesting stuff.

I stay better focused on my match plan if I bring a short checklist in my bag to revisit on changeovers. It works great for me and I'm pretty sure I picked that up in one of my reads.

This is the answer alright...just play tons of matches. Eventually, it will become normal.

Also, try to be in the present and enjoy the game. Don't think about the past or the future. Easy to say but the monkey in your mind plays trick on you. Just relax...take a deep breath...it's only a game...nothing to worry about. :)

well i know i can beat the peopel from my team but wen it comes to challenge matches i freeze up and cant play how i practice... wen i practice i am so much better!!! all my serves goes in all my hits goes in..... the reason i have freeze up cuz i ahve so much pressure and so many at stake.... we have a new coach and he doesn't know any of us.... but my old coach i can play fine becuz he knows how i play and i am comfortable playing with my old coach...... having a new coach is diffucult and can be put in so much pressure....

and tommorow we have a game but im not palying with it and everyoen in my team was yelling at my coach "we need him to play singles" and my coach was liek he didn't prove to me he can play....

and if i want to build up my confident level up by playing more matches, how can i do taht wen i wont be playing that much games?

You can play practice matches with friends, and hopefully the confidence you build up from that experience will carry over into the more pressurous "challenge matches".
