my forehand is going too high all the time and i cant get a decent shot anymore

my serve used to be pretty fast and it used to go in but now i completely screwed it up

my backhand is going too high and my slice goes too high too

i havent played in a few weeks so that might be the problem but can anybody tell me if im doing anything wrong?

footwork and shoudler rotation are important

yeah foot work and shoulder rotation is important. i went back to tennis like a month ago and i didn't have the rotation that i use to have and my footwork was off. and my shots were all over the court. it wasn't until recently that i finally got my shots down and my backhand is looking better than i have ever had it. even my forehand has improved.

rotation and foot work really helps. and also keep your eyes on the ball. that'll help as well.

Your forehand is going high probably because your racket face is opening up on contact. Try using a firmer grip.

Serves need to be practiced a lot before you can start adding pace while consistently hitting them in.
Serve ladder:
pace
spin
direction
depth
getting serve in box
A player must start by getting the serves in then after that they should start keeping the serve deep in the service box then you start going for direction (forehand/body/backhand) then a player should start adding spin(topspin/slice/twist/ect.) after all that a player can start hitting with more pace.(Note: when I say 'adding spin' I mean adding more spin, you probably already have some spin)
(b.t.w. these are notes that I got from a site a while back, I didn't make this)

Same thing for your backhand as your forehand.

ur forehand is always prolly going high
cause of u leaning backwards when hitting the shot

Watch the ball at the moment you hit the ball, instead of focusing on your opponent. Bend your knees most of the time. If you are right handed and you step your left leg forward when hitting your forehand, try not to move your right leg forward after hitting the ball. This will improve your footwork and maintain your balance.
