they really need to work on their marketing, they would have so much business online.

I e-mailed their customer service department a year ago about getting tennis clothes and they never wrote me back. They definitely need to work on their marketing and making their clothes more readily available, they could do a lot of business if they did.

its because they dont really care. They don't want too many people buying there clothes because then it brings down the specialty of it. If everyone wore lacoste I wouldn't buy it

I was in Charleston SC last weekend and they had the full line of Lacoste tennis gear including hats. The shirts look hot but for $85 they should. I'm sure they are stocking it because the womens Family Circle Cup is in town. You could call them and see if they will ship your order.

Do all the brand name designers need to work on their marketing when the product sells itself? It's not like they need the business, they KNOW ppl want their stuff and will buy it regardless.

plus like someone said, there's an elite status.

Lacoste clothes are so expensive. Twice the price of Nike. Looks great, but excessively expensive.

question-are you allowed to go on the ground when there isnt a tournment going on just to see/hit around?

I live close to a Lacoste store in NYC . . . if anyone wants any of this stuff AND IS WILLING TO PAY IN ADVANCE I will get it for you.

No, I am not trying to swindle anyone. No, I cannot deal with Credit Cards, Paypal, or personal checks. Yes, I am just trying to be nice and help some people get the gear they want.

PM me if you want.

I see you (OP) are in Texas, if you're near Austin, Lacoste has a new store at the Domain. There is also one at the outlets in San Marcos, but not as much stuff there.

For a price of a lacoste shirt, you can probably buy a racket. Are we all falling into conformity just because Andy Roddick wears it? Am i the only person on this board that will not pay 85bucks for a shirt?

I went to the lacoste store at the US Open, and they had all of the tennis shirts, but like everyone said they were around $85, which I would never buy.

$85 is not that expensive, at least for me in Norway, our prices are sick. I went to a couple of Lacoste stores in the Canary Isles, Spain and bought some regular polos at 135$ each. Quite expensive yes, but I wear them only at special occasions such as night outs etc.

Yea, but are they real Lacoste or cheap knockoffs? You can buy half a dozen "Lacoste" cotton polos on the big auction site from an Asian seller for a fraction of the price of buying from a U.S. retailer.

Just call your local Lacoste store or anywhere that carries their lines (Nordstrom, etc.). If you're lucky enough to get a friendly sales rep, they'll search their system and find whatever you want. I was told at some local stores that there were no more of the white Roddick hats (w/ the croc on the side) being sold anywhere, so I had them search around and order two from a store in Boston. If you know what you want, they'll most likely get it for you without a problem.

def. way to expensive for a tennis shirt. if they lowered the prices and marketed their products better lacoste would make a fortune from tennis players.

well, they don't have a specific technology,,,so when you sweat, it will get all wet and is very visible...

they should come up with a technology!

$85 per shirt is very cheap !!
why ? here is why, you all economics out there .
take a tennis shoe for a 100 , any tennis shoe and play with it twice a week for a year , it wont last you more then six month .
your 85 dollar tshirt will last you porbably 5 years , playing , washing drying everything, lacoste is very high quality and thats what you buying , plus you will look cool too . or you can go to the good will and buy 20 tshirts there :-(
i am also looking for a complete lacoste outfit , easy to find shoes , but the black shirt with thin white stripes across and black shorts roddick wore at the open 08 , no where to be found :-(

$10 Nike/Adidas/Champion/generic shirt from TJ Maxx lasts just as long as $85 lacoste shirt and works better.

If anyone has access to the Navy Exchange, they usually have the tennis oriented (fully polyester) clothing a season or two late. So by the time it makes it to the store, give it a few weeks and it's on clearance. On big holidays, such as this past weekend, they have sales with an additional 30% off clearance. I just bought a sweater retailed at $145 for $50.

For me as far as shirts go $45 is the limit.
