Just as the question asks, which shoes have a narrow heel, a wide toe and good cushioning?

For reference, I'm currently wearing the Adidas Tirands (essentially the same as the Barricades) and find they're good in the heel, cushioning is good but they're too narrow in the toe. Previously I wore the New Balance 653 which was good in the toe but too wide in the heel and lacked comfort.

Thanks all.

Breathe Free II's fit the bill, except the cushioning dies after awhile...

I just got a pair of Reebok Premeir Pros (mesh version) and played a few hours in them. I think they match your requirements pretty well but not perfectly. The toe is generous while the lower heel area is tighter fitting. The upper heel support isn't as close fitting as the lower heel area - this is where a pair of heel grips might be useful. If you have a very narrow heel these may not be for you. The cushioning is good - not as pillow lke as my previous Reebok Netmasters but the Premeir Pros feel a closer to the ground and have better stability. Overall it's a decent, well rounded shoe. Even if you don't like them they're only 50 bucks.
