Is it true that the Yonex RDS line is defetive? My coach bought the RDS 001 and told me that the handle started to curve. He said that he sent it back to Yonex and they gave him replacement ones but the same happened. I just want to know because I'm going to the get RDS 003, so i wanted to know if they really are defective.

I have never heard of that happening before. Maybe he left it in a hot car or something stupid along those lines? It has to be his treatment not the racquet. I have never heard of that before, and I own two.

it seems like that would be the last racket to do that. the rds line from yonex is basically a one piece stiff mold of the thin stock frame.

the yonex rds 001 is a really nice racquet... my friend has had it for a few months now and besides a few scratches from play he has had no problems.

With most Yonex racquets, your suppose to do 2-piece stringing, not one piece. Did you do 2-piece or 1-piece?

Does anyone elses PJ seem to be near indestructible? Mine just has superficial scratches, not even any chips yet.

My RDS 001 Mid just arrived today and I just started looking for stringing instructions on it and saw the 2 piece instruction on their website.

I would prefer to do 1 piece usually but I guess I'll follow their instruction.

I'm still curious to know if anybody does 1 piece with theirs and if it'd be any problem with 1 piece.

I have two RDS001 MP, I bought one in Brazil like two months ago and the other one to TW about a month. None of them have had the curving problem, however the paint on the brazilian one is kind of weaker and it has lost some of it;besides that one of them is like 3mm longer than the other which i think is still under their quality tolerances. Other than that they both play equally extremely good.

You can do 1 piece stringing. Its just that the isometric head shape works better with 2 piece stringin with the strings at differernt tensons. With 2piece it will have a bigger sweetspot. 1 piece will not damage the racqwt.

To the OP the Yonex rackets are the best made rackets (along with Fischer) there are. I have had no problems with mine
