View Full Version : New Shoes

So, I play high school tennis, and we practice every day, so I'm going to need durable shoes. Right now, I switch in between my Barricade 4's, and Match Day Pumps. I have worn out and grown out of both, so I need new shoes. I would like to try something different and my price range is up to about $80. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Nike Breathe Cage!!! Or Breathe 2 or 3. Those are the most comfortable shoes I've used. They are pricey, but if you look around, you can get them down to 90-ish bucks. If your parents love you, they'll get them for you. :-P

the asics gel resolutions feel nice and they have a warranty on them at another site...you can ask TW if they can match the warranty somehow...i've heard the prince T10 is durable and i tried on the T9 and i fell in love with it...

how do the asics compare to the barricades? Any other suggestions?

i havent played in them...actually just returned them cause i think i may have gone too small...i had 9 in barricades and nikes but i think i should've gone to 8.5 in barricades cause of the fit but i dont know...i may just be overthinking.... i'd say for 80$ the asics arent bad since they have a 6 month warranty on that other site tennis site...and i like the flashy color of the resolutions...
what size are you?

I really like my Nike Zoom Vapor III's but they kinda lack cushioning. They are great for an hour of tennis or casual wearing; but it will hurt if you are going 2+ hours of tennis. The durability is great.

Overall I'd go with Nike BF II. But I am currently using the Zoom Vapor 3's in black. These are nice looking shoes. :)
Yeah, I just picked up two pairs of the Vapor III's from an outlet store for about 110 for both.
I like them alot and the lack of cushioning isn't that noticable to me.

which of these shoes that you guys have mentioned would last me throughout the whole summer, and maybe even more? So far,the Pumps have lasted me the longest, but they're a little too heavy for me. I like the fit of the Barricades, though, but I'm looking to try something new.

Well, I didn't pay for those barricades. I got them as a birthday gift, and now that I have worn them out, I have to pay for new shoes.
