Is it possible to clean your tennis balls? I use pretty decent tennis balls and I like to keep them clean instead of using crappy dirty ones, any suggestions?
Btw if your thinking these balls are gona lose their bounce fast like a normal pack of crap balls, they wont they are pretty decent(expensive to). Won't tell what they are though since im not in the mood for others opinions/criticisms about my equipment. :)

Dumb or you just don't know?
Honestly it would be nice if you could find someone who could answer kindly or truthfully, posting stupid stuff is just not cool in any way, humorous maybe (i did chuckle at a few of the posts)
I kindly ask a question, some people who think they are so good and know it all come and act like jerks? No doubt in my mind that you guys are good players, just dont be a jerk, i haven't picked up a racket in 4 years... I just bought my new racket 2 months ago and starting to get back some of my old strategy.

But honestly, don't be a jerk to me, every tear i shed i my keyboard is another scar on my wrist.

Peeps are being sarcastic because they assume that it should be obvious even to a newcomer that tennis balls tend to lose their essential desired qualities like bounce and hairy spinnability before they become dirty or smelly. If it seems to you that a tennis ball needs a cleaning, it's probably an indication that the ball is past its usefull lifetime.

well, my dad washed a few old tennis balls in the washing machine and we hit with them.

yes, they were clean, but that's about it.

After that session, I ran out and got 4 new cans for him as a present for him and my elbow. 'nuff said.

The color fades a bit after washing your balls. However, the dryer revives old flat balls to almost good as new. Best to keep your balls off the dirt. Don't overdo the dryer, it can tear the cover off or break seams.

This is by far the best advice you will ever receive on "cleaning balls". :)

Mine are pretty much the same color after 25 years. And I wash them daily.

Maybe the color loss of yours occurs in the dryer? I don't put mine in the dryer. I am more than happy to just towel them off and not risk splitting seams or tearing the cover off.

Seriously, toss your balls in when washing and drying clothes. Whats the worst that can happen? Your balls pop?

Good idea, have couple hundred Tretorn Micro-X balls in need of washing but really do not want them to split or explode.

That is twice the cost of a Wilson 4 pk in the states. I'd bust some suds too.
