just played on Har Tru with brand new NB 780s and I'm very disappointed.
I usually use Breathe Frees II and Asics Enqvist and the NB didn't come close in comfort and traction. But I guess you get what you pay for. I was just slipping around. :(

Interesting. I also just got a pair of NB 780's but I haven't worn them out yet, just around the house. The soles do feel quite a bit stiffer than what I'm used to (e.g., BF II, Vapor 3, BII, T-10, etc.). Don't know what traction will be like for me yet, but then I only play on hard courts so hopefully they'll be OK.

Har Tru is clay, right?

Breakpoint, the 780's traction is fine on hard courts.

Yes, Har-Tru is the American version of clay. It is greyish in color instead of red. They're used on the courts in Central Park in NYC.

Thanks, I hope you're right about the traction on hard courts. They are nice looking shoes, I must say. :D

yea i use them too, i havent found any traction problems but i always play on hard-court anyway soo...

Anyway, very nice looking shoes, pretty hard sole though, could use better cushioning, they hurt a little bit a while ago but now im used to them

Oh well i guess my title says it all!

To elaborate further, i played an entire summer with these great shoes on har tru and on hardcourts. They had good traction on both and when needed i could still slide on the har tru!

So I really wanted to like these shoes, and I know there are people that love them, but I just can't get into them. Played on Hardcourts but they just don't work for me. Anyways - look out for the for sale section for a great deal...

I just got these shoes a few weeks ago and have been very pleased. They fit so much better than my other pair which are Addidas BIV's. They fit me like a glove, are comfortable, have excellent ankle support, and good traction on har-true and hard courts.

I haven't used them long enough to rate the sole wear, but for $49, I'm not too concerned.

After buying these for only $49, and being so pleased, I'll have a hard time buying the expensive shoes again.

yeah NB780s were good!
A tad stiff with the sole but did the job well :-)
