Their most lopsided periods:

1983-1987 Chris Evert 3, Martina Navratilova won 12 (bv the end Chris was in eclipse)

1987-1991 Martina Navratilova 3, Graff won 10 (how much was past her prime Navratilova declining?)

1990-1994 Seles 8, Graff won 2 ( Young Seles was too good for peak Graff..oh, what might have been...)

Does anybody know the stats for men's tennis?

No "Graff" girl won any slams in 1990-94.
Steffi Graf did, though.
But not just 2 but 7.

Some good ones listed above. Well done guys. Especially the reference to Vitas Gerulaitis.

But what is the LEAST lopsided rivalry in men's tennis? The most even...the best? I'd say Borg and McEnroe. 7-7. The absolute top standard of wood racquet tennis.

Laver and Rosewall must have been some great stuff too. Kramer and Pancho Gonzales.

Seles vs. Graf >> Seles is #1
Seles vs. Graf + Gunter Parche's knife >> Graf is #1

This may be a repetitious but a necessary reminder for those who would like to brush over the fact that without Parche's knife Graf was destined to be second to Seles.

As the OP did not know how to spell Graf, I think the OP also meant 1990-1993 (before FO) when Seles was stabbed, or else it would have not been a rivlary in 1994, seeing how Seles did not compete. Nice try though

Seles did not even play a full schedule which included the Australian Open until 1990. She was 14-15 years of age .. then, from January 1990 until the stabbing took place 40 months later there is no question who the #1 player in women's tennis was even as a young teenager ... it was Monica Seles.

Steffi Graf wasn't even the greatest in the middle of her career when a 16 year old named Monica Seles showed up.

In the early 90ies until the stabbing Seles was #1 for 108 weeks, Graf for 65 weeks.

At the end of 1990 Graf had a 75 pts. lead
At the end of 1991 Seles had a 58 pts. lead.
At the end of 1992 Seles had a 32 pts. lead.
In middle of April 1993, just before the stabbing, Seles had a 21 pts. lead.

Neither was Navratilova or Seles.
