To say that is dumb would be an gross understatement.

If anyone should keep his shirt on,it's McEnroe. He has the build of a twelve year old(girl).

I can't even tell if he's serious. I mean on the one-hand, the shirtless idea I could see him having, but not the temp tattoos.

You Cannot Be Serious !!

(well, somebody had to say it). This is pretty wacky, even for McEnroe, which is saying something.

Interesting idea. A lot of the pros practice without shirts anyway. They just put them on for matches because the rules say so. The only draw backs I see are one, skin cancer, and two, the sweat dripping all over without getting absorbed by the shirt.

I think my masculinity would go down if someone sees me watching a game with two sweaty guys smacking each others balls with no shirts on.

It's a result of a well known condition which afflicts the old - it's called senility.

Can some photoshop savvy users get creative with players and what their temporary sponsor tatoos would look like? :)

The temp tattoo thing has been around in volleyball... I always thought it looked silly to have a Gatorade temp tattoo but I didn't believe it until I saw it on TV myself.
Are you guys sure this isn't an April Fools article discovered too late?

hahahaha so stupid. now not only you selling a product for the manufacturer you're selling your body for the tattoos

That's friggin hilarious.

Well, it gets pretty hot out there.

But on hardcourts, it would be a slipping hazard with all the sweat.
They'd need a guy mopping the court after every point (a la NBA).:p

i dont know, but mcenroe sounds a little immasculine, wanting shirtless players and telling the players they should wear shorter shorts, hmmm, interesting.

this is the dumbest thing i've heard mcenroe say....a lot of chics would dig rafa, roddick, federer, and fitter looking players being shirtless, but what about nalbandian shirtless?? and others?

tennis is a sport of integrity...keep the shirts on in matches....

All the sponsors would pull their spots if Nalby made the final!

McEnroe is obviously joking around.

Once again, judging by the responses to this thread, my conclusion stands that the average poster here is 10 years old.

I don't know if it's a joke but I like the idea. For tennis fans like us it might not make a big difference but this thing would attract a lot of people who are not tennis fans and make them watch shirtless hunks just for their bodies. This sport needs a boost to make it more popular and this is a great idea. Why do you think most guys who don't know anything about tennis prefer to watch women play? It's because they like their bodies but in fact watching women play is way less interesting than watching a men's match. At least for most people that know tennis.

Honestly, I think it's a neat idea. It could give tennis more exposure and take it out of the sissy sport league in many people's minds.

Maybe you are especially perceptive. Or simply incorrect.
