This legendary racquet was introduced by Prince in 1994.
The Mono was used by Jimmy Connors for regular tour events at the end of his career and it is still his racquet of choice when he participates in Senior Legend Tennis Events.
It can be argued the Prince Mono was a racquet ahead of its time. The retro-cool mono shaft allows for greater manuverability and it is a terrific players racquet.

Anyone here ever hit with this stick?

I've got to hit with the Mono and the Ripstick, which was a 102"(?) head size 29" long frame. Both frames swung very nice; the monoshaft was very easy to swing. My only gripe was w/ the Ripstick b/c of the extra length; I had to choke up for a bit to keep the ball in (at the time I wasn't very fond of extra length frames). But both had decent spin and I especially liked them at the net.

Beautiful Racquet :D It swings easy and fast but what about stability or feel?

That's what the reviewer (from another site) said too!

That shaft (i.e. the middle area between the grip and the reacquet head) must look like prime real estate for johncauthen (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/member.php?u=7626) and his magical weighting system.. :D

No problems with either. Both frames that I used were very solid. Feel was definitely there especially with the monoshaft. I immediately felt if I hit a bad shot and I think a major part of it was the unique design.

I don't recall seeing too many people using this racquet. Do any of you remember if this was a popular racquet?
