Do you hit the racquets with bare leather or do you use overgrips?

I think it's TF Polyspin at something around 60. (the tension is a complete guess)

I always use overgrips and head tape.

How does the full poly string job feel on the ps85? I'm getting technifibre polyspin soon and I'm seriously thinking about it.

I actually like it a lot. It's strung at around 55-57 lb and it's a nice combination of power, control and spin. You can string PS 85 with anything and it will play great. :)

I'm actually open to other setups. Any suggestions? I want to try a full natural gut at 60lb (max recommended) to compare. I don't like Syn Gut at all b/c of string movement and low durability.

Ok, so here's mine!

Specs: I got this racquet as a gift from a friend. From what I've heard, this one is pretty old (15 years +) and it was bought in Singapore at the time. In the throat it says: Manufactured by CHIAO TA. Could it be an Asian edition? I think it's a lovely racquet for hitting flat shots. The slice backhand comes off amazingly. I hit with it every now and then, but for tournaments I use my N90. Mainly because it's easier to handle (not that the 85 is too heavy, but it has probably someting to do with swing weight). It's currently strung with Kirschbaum Super Smash @ 54 lbs. but I'm not really fond of it. My usual string is the Competition. Sadly, this racquet is no longer available here in Holland, but when my friend will go on his annual 'US trip' he'll bring me a new one. Here are the pics:

Those look mega, they should make them in white for a limited edition. Btw, how much lead have you got on those?? You must have a timber arm!!

Non-negative pic:

Well, those are weighted to 13.6 ounces total.

The lead tape I put on is layered in two overlapping strips one more to the top, one more to the PWS if that makes sense.....about a two inch overlap on the bottom two.

The top one, there's two full layers on top of each other with an additional inch and a half strip on all four spots. That one was on the low end of the weight specs.

All were weighted to balance a little to the head of the "m" in midsize (lead in handle if needed).

As you can see I kinda went to where I liked the feel in weight and balance.

Interesting, it seems you've labeled your sticks with their specs on the overgrip.....

What does it say on your Taiwanese where the hologram sticker was removed?

Probably something like "warranty void if removed" or something like that......

Yup,
Specs on the overgrip, I'm just old and getting lazy. It's easier to remember that way ;).

It's "warranty void if removed". I hope it's not a fake PS85. I bought it here on the board and the seller told me he took it off to see. It seems to play fine however. It's the lightest PS85 with 12.6 oz.

i think that's what the new ones weighed. mine weighed a bit less than 12.6 but i think it's cause of the new grip.

about the new china ones do they swing differently? i dont really mind about the feel just as long as they swing the same : D

Wow, I would pay a pretty penny for those pj'ed PS 85's!!! As long as they were L3 grip of course. Wanna trade for a St Vincent? ;-)
