Just a wild post?
I know everyone says not to wear running shoes on Hard Courts, although i am not 100% sure why... i guess design is not right....
Someone elaborate on both issues?
Running shoes on Clay... Y/N?
and on Hard Court why not?
The show in mind is Nike Pegasus

Running shoes are a big no no for tennis.
- no lateral stability. Very poor support for quick cuts and stop and go type movements. You will likely roll your ankle.
- poor durability for tennis type of movements.
- many running shoes will mark up hard courts.

I have Barricade II, III, and IV shoes but when I play on clay I prefer my lightweight Adidas jogging shoes. They're more comfortable running around in and because I can slide on clay the stability has not been a problem. On hard court though, I'd definitely stick with "tennis" shoes for the previously mentioned reasons. Cheers.

Wear tennis shoes for tennis. Running shoes for running. Not the same movements nor the same support.
