Your opinions about this player? He might not have too many friends on tour after what he did to Gasquet on 2nd set tie break. Will match any Cheatovic...

Gasquet hit the line, line umpire calls it out. Volandri saw it was on the line as there was a clear mark. He left quickly to change the sides. When Gasquet showed the mark the chair umpire couldn't overturn the decision anymore as they had already changed the sides.

Gasquet is not likely doubles partner for Volandri for a while. This refereeing error almost cost a match to Gasquet...

He acted like a cheater in that crutial point in the tie-break. The ball from Gasquet was clearly on the line, not even close to be wide and the mark of the ball was there. Volandri knew it and didnīt act like a gentleman, just escaped and looked for the changeover. Lars Graf wasnīt correct either, he should checked the mark before the changeover. It could cost Gasquet the match but he won that tie-break. Letīs see what happens in the 3rd set.
The Rome crowd wasnīt too classy either towards Gasquet. People who boo a player just because he wants to check the mark...did they ever play tennis?

vive le beau jeu !

Volandri, can be a top clay-court player if he could be more consistent with the game he has.

Did you see Gaudio? He was awarded a point against Roddick, which was called out, but he believed Roddick had got it in so conceded the point, giving Roddick a break point.
What a star.

If you're not cheating, then you're not trying.

If you're not cheating, then you're not trying.

If that is your philosophy then good luck for the future.

If you are not respected by your fellow players then it is rather hard to be succesful on Tour. On club level your opponent is likely to cheat back. Then you both just will not enjoy the tennis.
