Just saw the Chris Myers interview with John McEnroe on The Tennis Channel. The really interesting thing to me was how "human" Mac came across--almost none of the arrogance and anger I associate with him. When asked about his "worst memory in tennnis" he quickly elaborated about the '84 loss to Lendal at the French. Also talked about the "Top players of all time"--Sampras, Laver, Borg, Federer, others I can't recall and when prompted by Myers about himself he, almost humbly, said he hoped he was in that circle. Unless I missed it though, I don't think he mentioned Agassi in his "Top Players" list. All in all, interesting--worth a look on the repeat (which this probably was).
