Interesting to see that Richard Krajicek is the only Wilson player in Athens who is hitting a K-Factor, or at least a pj of one. Sampras and Todd Martin still use the NCode. Why Krajicek I wonder?

Edit: Magnus Larsson is a K-man too it seems!

I have wondered why Sampras and Courier still use the Ncode (paintjob?).

Answer could be simple: Jim and Pete hate the look of the KF90.

Can't believe he gave up his Yonex frames!!

Does Courier use a 90 or 95??

Didn't Kraj use a wilson before yonex. I recently saw a highlight of his french open matches back in the 90s on TC.

I honestly don't remember him using anything but a Yonex. What year? who did he play?

Yes prior to his relationship with Yonex, Krajicek used the Wilson 6.1 Classic like many other fellow pros of those years. That frame along with the Head 600 fought it out for the most used sticks on the pro tour at the time.

He signed with Yonex in '96, the year he won Wimbledon beating King Pete along the way.

I believe he switched to the Yonex in 1996. I know for the DC match he played against Sampras, he was still weilding a Wilson and that was in 1994. Didn't RK take '95 off due to injury?

Yes Kajicek played with the classic. But he wanted to play with the 6.0 original. But wilson didn't want to let him play with that due to sponsorship issues. Then krajicek went to yonex where he ask them to make him a racket with the same specs as the 6.0 sampras was using, and they came up with the super RD tour. (thats what krajicek told on dutch television) i dont know if the specs of those 2 rackets are the same in stock.

I saw him play for the first time with the yonex rd tour in Rome against Philippoussis.

1995-Reached SF in Adelaide and QF in Sydney to begin season, then captured indoor title in Stuttgart - beating W. Ferreira (2nd RD), Larsson (QF) and Stich in a five-set final...Advanced to New Haven final (l. to Agassi) with wins over Haarhuis, Becker and Kafelnikov...Served for title at 6-3, 5-3 against the world No. 1 before losing 3-6, 7-6, 6-3...In doubles, won his third career title in Rosmalen (w/Siemerink)...

I actually have a tape of that AA v. Krajicek match at New Haven. RK came the closest to interrupting Agassi's romp through the '95 summer hard court swing before Sampras ended it in the final of the US Open that year. Krajicek played lights out right until 5-3 in the second.
