The general opinion round here is that that's his old Dunlop painted black and with prince painted on. Nowaday's he's had to put marker over the Prince on the throat as apparently Dunlop threatened to sue.

those pics show its not a 03 hybrid tour 4 sure.. i was under the impression he played a dunlop mw 200g with 03 holes and black paint with 'prince ' written on it.. this looks more like a mw 200 in plain black color..

Looks like a blacked out Maxply Mcenroe, which some say is a heavier 300?

Could his racquet be an mfil 200? Also is that a full luxilon BB stringjob? How much lead on on 9 and 3 o clock?

this is a dunlop 200 for sure. it has the 18x20 string patern and a dunlop bumper gaurd. it also has a boxy frame similar to every dunlop racket!.

prince rackets arent boxy, i dont think they ever have been (execpt for the diablo) and this head size and beam width isnt suspect of a diablo. Dunlop should go after this legally. That might bust these racket scandals wide open

^ I dont think its illegal. If I purchase a dunlop racquet (or any other brand racquet), Arent I entitled to do whatever I want with it, including painting it with a different color or customize in any way?

^Also, z money do u know what model of teh 200 series it is?

well, if you're james blake than you can't, since you'd be a sports star.. but any ordinary guy on the street can..

really depends on if he is sponsored or not....then it could be breech of contract. But either way, it is a civil affair, not criminal.

I don't think it looks anything like a blacked out maxply, mainly 'cause of the throat.
It's a special pro mould used by Haas,Berdych,Mauresmo, Blake etc. The closest dunlop is the Rev. Tour 95 and the closest non dunlop mold is a Tyger

when does his new prince one actually come out? i heard they were going to drop him (on a thread on here) if he didn't get a new racket that suited him soon.

Someone on the boards has said it is one of the older 200G's...something like a revelation 200g with alot of lead tape.

Maybe, it's like music. You buy the frickin' CD, but can't do whatever you want with the music.

Before 2005 US Open blake was dropped by Dunlop, since he couldn't play for like a year because of a series of unfortunate events. So during 2005 US Open, he wasn't sponsored by Dunlop, but he was using a racquet that with a M-Fil 200 paintjob. So in that case, shouldn't he have been using a M-Fil 200? I mean, if he's not sponsored, Dunlop wouldn't bother to make special racquets for him right?

But he probably still had dozens of Dunlop paintjobbed racquets left over from when he ws sponsored. I mean Dunlop is not going to ask him to give those racquets back as Blake is giving Dunlop lots of free advertising my using them. I mean if a well known player is willing to use your racquet with your name and logo on it without being paid a dime, wouldn't you also let them keep doing it?

Was cruising the net a few minutes ago and found a PR blurb (dated 5/29) that stated that Blake had just signed a "long term" deal with Dunlop, and would be using an aerogel.
