I have a fractured wrist and require a fiberglass cast for 3 weeks. However, out of adesire to hit a tennis ball, I started hitting against my garage door. Though I could not hit my 2hb or serves, I could still hit a good forehand and 1hb. No use of wrist.

Bad idea?

Sounds like a pretty bad idea to me. Let it heal. You could always learn to hit with your other hand.

Just hit forehands with your other hand. It'll help your 2 handed backhand.

if it's your other wrist, then go ahead and hit forehands, and 1hbh.

dude let that heal, then go back to practicing tennis. personally my wrist is killing me although its not injured, still once i use it in my forms :!.. one thing if yours got broke :! lol, you don't want the bone to shift inside, and heal the wrong way.

Yeah, I broke my left (non-dominent) wrist and arm. (And yes, on the tennis court.) Cast for six weeks. Splint for at least another 4. Physical therapy, for both arms for another 8 weeks. (Got a weird case of tennis elbow without playing tennis from trying to do too much with my right arm....) After getting down to the small cast (below the elbow) I could hit with my daughter. And I could serve, use the ice cream cone toss. The big danger is getting off balance and falling again, so don't do real games that you need to really reach for the ball.

Good side, lost 5 pounds in a week because I didn't realize how much you need both hands to fix yourself lunch, or even butter a piece of bread.

I fell in an awkward position when doing backward sprints on a gym floor for conditioning
