Aren't you in Australia?

and you can join USTA at any age, but to play in junior tournaments you have to be 18 and under. I just joined at the beginning of 06 when I was 14.

ur never to old to join the USTA unless you want to play junior tournaments. I mean if your under 18, you can get a membership for USTA.

Not to bring a dead thread back up, but if you join the USTA as a junior, are you required to join a league or can yuo just play in singles/doubles tournaments?

16 is kind of a late age to start...once u r 19, ur out, so you have 2 years to p-l-a-y. not long at all... than u can join a league and if ur going to college u can play varsity team for college and play for the NCCAW Championships.
