Is there a possiblility of making our post signature bolder or a different color than the rest of the post?

Also is there an ETA on the ability to adjust background color?

Thanks

You can incorporate bbcode into your signature:

YOUR SIG HERE

We're finishing up a few themes as I type. It's to the point of detail work so it should be very soon.

Sysop, any chance of a theme which gets rid of all graphics/offending material and goes back to how it was? I've tried the "old-school" theme and whilst its an improvement the bells and whistles of the board are still overwhelmingly distracting. Its no longer what you say that matters but how large your font is, how many poll questions you can fit in and how many emoticons you can splash about liberally.

Those of us with neurological problems would appreciate a return to simpler days.

Sysop--
I tried that but it just makes it bold with the code still around it. Maybe Im doing something wrong.

What are the offending graphics/material you keep talking about? I am using the "old school" theme (redice) right now and I see a icon to post a new topic, post a reply, and I see profile graphics in each persons post. They could probably get rid of emoticons in this theme, meaning people using this theme couldn't use them, but you would still see them from people who post from the other themes. I don't see people abusing emoticons. The only people abusing large fonts are the whiners that are copmplaing the font is too small. Why don't you be more specific in what you want removed/changed in the simple theme. I have no idea what your talking about and i'm sure they don't either.

Why are you being a jerk, axel?

I use large font - when I remember to - simply because it makes it easier for people to read.

One person's "abuse" is another person's consideration.

You, seem to be whining about the "whiners" much more than anyone is whining about the boards.

Jerk?? I think its important to point out things can't change if you don't be specific about what you want to change. Example.. How many times have you went to your local tennis shop and bought a new racquet off the shelf, then asked the technician to customize the racquet to better fit your game; then just walk out the door without giving specifics about your game? Probably never. If you did you will probably be disappointed with the results. Sorry for the bad analogy but its the best I can do right now..

yeah.. I have what, 19 posts now. Read all my posts here.. (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/search.php?search_author=axle) you will see thats a bunch of crap..

I think its sad that the third largest topic is rants and raves, and I would guess more than 80% of all rants and raves post are people complaining about this new board. AND its the same 4 or so people saying the same things over and over. When can we focus on tennis again? A lot of energy has been focused on complaining about this or that, imagine how much more productive this board would be if the focus of this energy was Tennis..

What do you say to someone who is ranting and raving that the rants and raves section contains nothing but rants and raves?

Welcome to the club?

Thanks! A membership is all I ever wanted..
I think its silly that a few people think they can ask so much of an entity that is providing a free service from which they can benefit immensely. If you paid for this service, fine. Demand all you want. If this board were truly as bad as of you (you know who you are) say it is, there would be a lot more complaints from "unique" users. IMHO, I like things the way they are. Anyway, that's my $.02 and I'll leave it at that.

Yeah, I agree. I like the new board - it's easier on my eyes than the old one, too. Except when people choose to write entire posts in enormous fonts...

It would be nice if you could modify the text size of all the posts for yourself though. I remember on the old one I could use IE's default "text size" option to change it, though I always stuck with the default.

Well, if not - oh well. I like it as is too.

Deuce - Axel's right. I think you're using the large font because you don't feel anyone notices or cares about your spew anymore (probably true), and this is your way of crying like a baby-"See ME. Look at ME." What a tool...

How come the new format hasn't improved Phil's posts?

Hasn't improved yours, either. In fact, they've only gotten worse.
