Davydenko was wearing a black and orange shirt in his match today at the FO. The insignia on the shirt looked like a leopard walking over grass. Does anyone know what company this is. Does Davydenko have a sponsor now? Also what type of shoes is he wearing.

Davydenko is sponsored by Airness (a French company that specializes in soccer equipment), but last time I checked in Rome, he was wearing Asics shoes.

It's Airness...they are also supposed to be sponsoring Petrova I think.....

They are a new company, that got their start by paying didier drugba to wear their clothing, warm-ups etc... but they have been growing by leaps and bounds ever since, and have been sponsoring some major soccer clubs recently.

good, fast player but he is pretty uncool and as a result unpopular. can't blame big brands for not sponsoring him when they can sponsor someone with a better following, albeit lower ranked.

It's pretty common for Eastern Europeans to be sponsored by brands that are obscure in the West. They don't have much marketing appeal or help sell much volume in clothing in the West, and they have more leverage negotiating contracts with companies that sell in the countries where they are somewhat more popular. Daveydenko is just one example of many like this. Also, I'm sure his look and the allegations of shadiness don't help.

Well Airness lost their Fulham FC shirt deal for producing large batches of subpar quality replicas that got rejected by the club and sent back. That didn't speak well for the brand at all.

His clothes are okay, and just glad he finally got a clothing endorsement.

One of the problems for a clothing manufacturer sponsoring Davydenko is that he doesn't have the physique to show off a clothing line. I can't think of too many players that make worse models than Davydenko. Andy Murray may be on the list, but he makes up for his lack of looks by being the hope for a nation.
