What do you think? They have played some epic matches in the past. Tied at 2-2 H2H with Jankovic edging in three sets in their last 2 meetings. Noteworthy that Venus had a 4-2 lead and points for 5-2 in the 7-6 third set loss in Charleston. Honestly, this is Venus' chance to step it up and reclaim herself as a dominant force on tour once again. She almost had her in their last match, I am super excited about this one. Jankovic is in red-hot form and has an excellent counterpunching style with moderate power which suits the red clay well. Venus will be the underdog. Nonetheless, it will be up to Venus' errors and confidence whether she can pull it out or not.

My prediction: V. Williams 2-6,7-5,6-4

yeah, mine too. Jankovic is one of my favs too, but I have been a proud Venus fan since it all started. I hate to see that they both have to meet so early !! Win or lose, It'll be a good match I'm sure.

This match will be a battle because neither one of them like to lose :)

I want Venus to come out the gates with Fire in her eyes...She needs to attack the Jankovic Forehand and she needs to use her great backhand down the line...She needs to finsh lots of points at the net...And she needs to serve big.

How about that 129 mph service winner that Venus hit in the 2nd round....just imagine how fast it would've been if it were a hot day on grass/hard court.

Jankovic because Williams has a weak erratic forehand and a very tentative 2nd server. Jankovic should be too steady
