Andy Roddick and Robby Ginepri have signed in to the Doubles draw for the Surbiton Challenger. Ivo Karlovic is in the main draw. This is the first grass tournament in England for the season and they all want to get matches to prepare for Wimbledon. Wonder if they will raise the ticket prices for the days that Andy and Robby play?

Thats if they get past the 1st round, but it is good to see Roddick is eager to get his grass court season started.

Wonder why Roddick playing dubs and not singles. Must be trying to change to a dubs specialist.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the 1 and 2 seeds in the singles finals, with Karlovic having the edge cuz he plays more at the net.

roddick might feel comfortable in his baseline and serve game and hope to get more net practice with doubles in this small tournament, rather than losing early at Queens or Halle by focusing on net play there.

Roddick can't play in the Singles draw at a $50K challenger. Players above a certain ranking are not allowed to enter and not allowed to accept wildcards at this level (only Super Challengers, with $100K prize money levels).

Thanks for the info. At least he's getting extra practice on the grass and playing doubles, which he can work on getting to the net, hopefully;)
