What do you guys think? Weeks ago I would have easily chosen Djokovic but seeing how Andreev has been playing is making me think twice.

I saw Andreev at Miami practicing, and all I could think was, "Where did all that muscle come from?" That dude is taking his training seriously to say the least.

If Andreev's forehand is on tomorrow, Novak is toast. Otherwise, Igor is toast. Too bad we won't get to see what happens on TV, since both ESPN and TC will probably be replaying some Williams match over and over all day.

Guys with good down the line backhands can neutralize big forehands (big forehand guys tend to try controlling the court with the inside out forehand, daring people to go down the line). Djokovic has an excellent down the line backhand.

Djokovic has an excellent down the line backhand.

So does Roddick (or so we thought).

I'd take Djoko on any surface in straight sets....but on clay it's a different talk...I'd still say Djoko but there is a good Chance Andreev wins...we'll have to wait and see!

So does Roddick (or so we thought). You're the first person I've seen on these boards who's even implied that Roddick has a good down the line backhand. IMO, it's one of the worst in Top 50.

I find this similar to his last match against Baghdatis. I think Igor will win it in 4 or maybe 5. But I have him penciled into the semi's. But I am rooting for Novak D because I don't like Igor. Can't wait to see this match

Andreev was starting to play some great tennis in 2005 (anyone remember Roddick vs. Andreev?)... then the surgery came in 2006... then in 2007 I saw him in Miami as well, but wasn't too impressed because he was just at the beginning of his come-back. Now he finally is starting to peak again; he proved it against Roddick. I agree that if his FH is on... then Djokovic will have lots of problems. But, on the other hand Djokovic is not the same Djokovic we saw in Miami... I don't think he is playing too well.... Apparently he admitted that after the match with Patience. Well, I think I'll pick Andreev, since he's been going on-a-roll.

J-man, why don't you like Igor? For the plain stupid reason that he reminds me exactly of a kid I played (gamestyle wise) at my club. He hit the forehand the same. Heavy heavy topspin forehand. It was a killer it would push you back, move you of postion. Not only that but he would make those buggywhip shot that Igor and Nadal hit when you had control of the point and all of a suddent it was taken away from like that! It's the worst feeling in the world as you guys might know.

I always hated stepping on court with him match or practice. But not only that he never knew when to just rally and to hit for real. He went 100% evertime you hit when you were just warming up. But anyhow enough of that....

Djokovic 3-0. Except if he plays like against Patience.
