lol seriously, well your probably not a 4.0-5.0 (everyone thinks they are before they join this forum :D ) but go on the USTA website, join, and look for tournaments in your area

Well there is a level 1 tournament in Forest Hills, at the end of the month. You can try playing that and see how you do. To register go to the link below and you can register online. But first you must join the USTA. To do this go onto www.usta.com and you should be able to find it from there.

Good Luck.

Dude you're probably about a 3.5 if you have been playing for only 2 years.

thanks alot to those of you that helped.
i checked the NTRP rating on usta and i meet all the requirements for 4.0 and most for 4.5. so maybe i'm just a 4.0

way to go, dragonfire. way to boost his hopes in tennis. one day, he might be no. 1 in the world and look down on you, saying 'oh this is the guy who said i wanted attention and has bad grammar'; well maybe he's from outside america where they speak little english?
haha maybe you should start on some small tournaments, tennisfa. then work your way up the ladder...

no offense tennisfa, but the usta descriptions of ntrp are not really accurate. For a 4.0 all it says is that you need to have developing power and consistency, which basically all 3.0-3.5 players have.

ok so, i'm around 3.5.
and, isn't L1 for the best juniors? i guess i should take more lessons and get myself a little bit better than 3.5...

L1 isn't for the best juniors. Yea it will be pretty tough, but you might as well start there, and if you do poorly you'll move down a level, but you have to start somewhere.

And if you do want to take lessons try going to the national tennis center in Flushing, or you can play at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills.
