Maybe the jacket and pants are a bit better in the blue?

No matter what color of the jacket, it looks cool. The shirts looks like its only for old timers.

Yeah, all you need is to get yourself a Puma or Estusa Power Beam racquet to complete the look. ;)

But that's because you probably weren't even born when Becker won his first Wimbledon in 1985. ;)

20 years from now, nobody under the age of 20 would be caught dead in what Nadal is wearing now. :-o

What do you mean 20 years from now? If I see a 20 year old with capris on I may just have to take some scissors to that abomination before I can agree to any matchplay :D

Give me Argyle and 5" inseams any day over that junk.

5" inseams??? You are definitely telling your age. I'm 30 and I love the shirts (I think I would rather play golf in them instead of tennis though). I hate those warm-ups...someone hit the nail on the head when they said that they look like Wal-Mart quality.

Hey I am still in my 30s :p

Actually I have never worn 5" inseams but I would definitely wear them over Capris. I usually wear 7-8" inseams.

This stuff looks pretty cool to me, but I'm gonna have to wait until it goes on sale; it's way overpriced.

LOL. Aint that the truth (regarding Nadal's outfit and being born before Becker won Wimbledon). Kinda like Agassi's flourescent stuff he used to wear. LOL I like the Becker stuff, just don't like the baby blue color of the shirts. I think the shirts would look much better in a more neutral color.

5" inseams??? Dude, the late 70's/early 80's Fila/Tacchini shorts were more like 1" inseams. ;)

If your personality runs to beige and you've given up all hopes of being attractive to women, then yes, they might be considered cool. Otherwise, they are seriously ugly and seriously overpriced.

Mick, I'd bet if you measured the inseam on those shorts that Lendl is wearing in that above pic, you'd find that they are less than 2 inches.

Perhaps, but not nearly as ugly and overpriced as this though: ;)

I would be interested to know what tennis apparel you currently wear or would like to wear. How can the colors in these shirts fit a beige personality? And regarding the ladies, if you can't rock these shirts and pull the ladies then you must have no game (not referring to tennis). ;)

I wish adidas would bring this shirt back...it is 3rd on my all-time list behind the Fila Borg & Vilas shirts.

Please enlighten us. What type of shirt should we wear to attract the ladies?

i like the detailing on the cuff and hem for the 2nd shirt in the pic. but too expensive. and it is either super preppy or super oldie. eh

Erm, im 29yrs old.
Not everyone has the same tastes in fashion...
And im tired of everything "retro" being back in fashion...
Just shows that designers are lazy, and that people will think something is cool merely because they are told that it is so...
Not to mention those small tight shorts arent exactly comfortable and not easy to run around in...
*grunt*

Umm. . . one consideration on the inseam is that young women LIKE the shorter inseam on men's tennis shorts. And like white shorts as well.

I'm afraid I don't see the "retro" in the BB line. What's looking more and more retro is the old 90's "grunge" look. Boy, THAT was the day!

All I'll say is this:
BB shirts = Chav catnip.
BB pants = punishment.

How is the fit...is it true to size or running big or small? And do you think it was worth the high price?

That's because you don't know me all the way. And I'm hyperactive which some of you don't seem to take to very well.
Anyway, back onto the subject of retro shirts..
If there was ever a shirt i'd like to see come back it'd have to be the '89 "RoadMap" shirt that Edberg was wearing..
If someone wants to post some old photos of what some other players were wearing at the time that would be great.

I like the Becker stuff, but I am well over 40 - but only the solid stuff, I never really liked argyle. Though I grew up in 2" inseams, I can't seem to make myself wear anything under 9" now. And solids are just easy.

Hyperhorse - I will agree with you on one thing - this whole retro thing that happens every decade is getting old. Are designers lazy though, or are people bland? I hate the Nadal Nike stuff and some of their other multi-colored/multi-paneled clothing - it reminds me of some of the wacky stuff we had in the 70's and 80's - so even though it is not labeled "retro", it still has that retro feel, just not the fluorescent colors!
