Hey guys,

I want to suggest some 2-handed WTA players for my girl friend to observe but i'm a one hander myself and haven't paid much attention. Who do you think are the top 2-handers on the WTA side?

Well Serena Williams' backhand is really, really good, best on the WTA I think, but her technique is terrible.

Clijsters and Davenport for their excellent timing and great preparation. Their backhands never break down and it's such a solid, yet powerful shot for them.

Venus Williams if you want to go the unconventional, open stanced backhand.

Don't know about that, but she has a big backhand in the womens game.

As for best 2 handed backhands:

Venus, Serena, Hingis, Davenport, and maybe Clijsters.

Dementieva and Myskina also have very solid backhands.

Davenport for sure. Although; Hingis had an amazing down-the-line back in the day.

Definately! I think a lot of the women who use the open stance like Venus, Serena, and Hingis are prone to have great backhands especially the down the line shot.

Jankovic and Safarova

Anyone watched the epic battle of their 3rd match at Wimbledon today would have to agree.

Oh, you beat me to it with Safarova. She and Dementieva hit about as solid and clean a backhand as you'll see on the women's side.

For forehand , look no further than Steffi Graf. Ivanovic and Snyder also have good forehands, without having extreme grips. Theres no point trying to emulate any forehand unless you use the same grip to start with.

thanks guys
