i do the same, spending two much time at the tournament site will waste lots of ur energy. preserve it by sitting in the car and relaxing, or just play cards, watch a movie or just talk. thats wat i do and it really helps.

yeah i come about 30 minutes early.I think that is the perfect time, because you may be earlier, but if there is an accident or traffic that was not expected then you can still maybe have time to get there.

If I had an 11:30 start time, i'd arrive around 10.. Check in, walk around the club with friends from the tour /coach, listen to music and gather your bearings, get a 20-30 minute warm up on a practice court, watch any friends play, get a good locker, etc.

yeah it does, i have made many more friends at various tournaments this summer,
everyone here who plays, is usually a hardcore tournament player,
so i get to see many familiar faces at tournaments

For a national: The day before the tournament starts, attending player meeting and registration.

For a local tournament/section tournament: Most-30 min. before match. Least-15 min. for checking in.

Watch the match that decides who you play if you can. Otherwise, arrive early enough to warmup before you step on the court to "warmup" with your opponent. Usually ~45-30 minutes for me, depending on whether or not they have extra courts or racquetball courts that I can use.

It depends. I think that if you have friends going to the tournament too then its a good idea to get there early. just hang out with them talk relax and take your mind off of tennis. You'll play better
